Countess Maria is an art collector, costume designer and an expert in French art de vivre. When you meet Maria for the first time, you will know immediately that this is no ordinary encounter. Descending from the Aga Khan dynasty on her father's side, the Countess holds her title through marriage to a Franco-German aristocrat - also an art collector and connoisseur. Since then, she has lived between New York, London, Geneva, and Paris.
A certified art historian, Maria has been educated in art history at the University of Berkeley and was one of the first graduates of the Sotheby's Institute in New York. She is the founder of her own brand, counting amongst her clientele representatives of the aristocracy such as Princess Catherine Saderin Aga Khan, Countess Brandolini, and Baroness Victoria de Langsdorff, among others. She also created a collection of costumes for the La Scala theatre in Milan.
This itinerary has been curated by Maria herself, allowing you to discover her view of Paris, its history, and culture. Maria is ready to greet you at her salon in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and is pleased to reveal the secrets of the art de vivre in the surroundings of her art collection that includes silver from the 15th century, porcelain that belonged to Louis XIV, Pre-Raphaelite paintings, fabrics of the 18-19th centuries, haute couture, and vintage dresses and hats.
A fascinating itinerary for those who are interested in the history of art, design, and French lifestyle.
